Technically, the area covers several distinct localities.
Cligga Head refers to the area in general, while Cligga Mine specifically refers to the mine workings within the cliff.
To make matters a little more confusing, some of the dump sites are shared with the local mines, including Good Fortune mine.
The beach entrance to the mine has been known to yield some micromineral specimens, and it is apparently possible to access some areas of the mine via the beach, although I don’t need to point out that this could be dangerous.
I haven’t been here personally but have seen some excellent micromineral specimens in pieces from the site. One day!
