Callow Hill Quarry

Pontesbury, Shropshire, England, UK

A small former aggregate quarry once exploited for sandstone.

Callow Hill Quarry sits near the village of Minsterley.

Mindat lists 6 mineral species from the site, including chalcopyrite, galena, pyrite, and sphalerite.

There are some photos from the site in the EHT website linked below.

It is also known more recently as the ‘Wyre Forest Visitors Centre Quarry’ due to its proximity to the visitors centre.
