Zircon crystals from various locations around the world.
Zircon is used in jewellery as a gemstone due to its sparkling lustre and vibrant colors. The pieces I'm selling here, of course, are of a much lower grade - hence the price!
Please note, there is a difference between Zircon and Cubic Zirconia!
In geology, zircon is sometimes used for dating rocks and understanding Earth's history, as it helps scientists determine the age of rock formations.
Our current stock all comes from Brazil and mostly displays a mustard-brown fluorescence under 365nm UV light. They are typically fragments of crystals; often with one or more defined face but not always unfortunately. None are terminated or octahedral, unfortunately!
