Brilliant fluorescent specimens of willemite, calcite, and franklinite from Sterling Mine, NJ, USA.

These are really nice and bright - often a bright neon pink/red and green, but this depends on the wavelengths.

The fluorescent areas will vary, and some may have very small amounts of red, some very small amounts of green - sometimes just spots - please see the pics for more detail.

In some cases I photographed the wrong side and didn't notice the other side was actually better.

Typically speaking:

• 255nm - shortwave UV - bright neon orange-red and green
• 310nm - midwave UV - bright orange-pink and green - but sometimes lacking the green.
• 365nm - longwave UV - pink and green. Often less green areas than 255nm.

Best under 255nm, but still great under 365nm, the most common wavelength used for mineral collecting.

These come in a black plastic display box with an ID label.
