Scapolite var Meionite from Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Mont-Saint-Hilaire, Montérégie, Québec, Canada
This unusual mineral is a variety of Scapolite known as Meionite. In regular daylight it is a fairly uninteresting off-white to grey mineral, but under longwave (365nm) UV light, it glows incredibly brightly - a bright yellow.
It was actually so bright it was hard to take photographs of and took quite a bit of fiddling with the settings to get even close to right!
These are very nice quality specimens for the price.
