Elestial / Skeletal Quartz specimens
Nice specimen pieces of elestial quartz, which has a few different names, including elestial quartz, skeletal quartz, and sometimes fenster or window Quartz.
They have unusual growth patterns, often with inclusions of grey-yellow clay due to the method of their formation. Hydrocarbon and fluid inclusions are not uncommon.
Our current stock includes:
- #1 - 91x64.6x26.3MM - an unusual single crystal with multiple hollow 'skeletal' voids. The rear is an almost flat face with quality striations. A very interesting specimen which unfortunately came to me without any provenance or locale. Could probably be considered partially smoky, but mostly just regular ole' clearish Quartz.
