Fossilised specimens of Plesiosaur teeth on matrix. Plesiosaur fossils have been found in several areas around the world, with many being found in Morocco - they are also found along the UK's Jurassic Coast.
Our current stock includes:
Plesiosaurus mauritanicus from the Cretaceous of Oued Zem, Khouribga, Morocco.
These are on their original stone matrix, although its they have sometimes been glued/concreted back down. There are often other fossils in the matrix, sometimes fish vertebrae. Examination under UV light may highlight areas of repair - areas cemented back down show a slightly different colour under UV light. As they are repaired and partially rebuilt this should be considered on purchase; they are not fully 'assembled' fossils but are likely to be repaired.
