Osteolepsis fish fossils from the Old Red Sandstone of the Orkney Islands, Scotland.

Our current stock includes:

• #1 - 116x94x25MM - a partial fish; the imprint is there but unfortunately the majority of the scales are missing.
• #2 - 127.5x91.5x17MM - a very nice piece with a huge number of scales still intact; it is largely complete.

Fossilised fish make a lovely gift for collectors, and especially for children. No two are ever the same, and they are so easy to relate to.. I have never seen a live trilobite or a raptor roaming the parks, but there are fish in almost every river or canal I walk past.
