Needle nose pliers for jewellery making
We currently stock two types of needle nosed pliers, as part of our budget line of jewellery making tools. I found it quite difficult to find pliers without the teeth on the jaws, which leave a lot of tool marks on softer metals. These pliers do not have jaw teeth/grips, please bear that in mind before purchasing. This is to attempt to minimise scratch and tool marks on the piece you are working on. However, it does mean less grip on the piece.
Needle nose or needle nosed refers to the shape of the pliers jaws - they are long and thin, tapering slightly towards the end. This makes them useful for working in small areas.
Our stock currently consists of two very similar lines - the key difference being the grips are different sizes and materials. I find the ones with the black and red handles easier to work with, with larger hands.
- Black foam coated handles, measuring around 140MM long in total.
- Black and red plastic handles, measuring around 150MM long in total.
