Mixed Cabochons for jewellery making

Perhaps an odd offering - these are packets of mixed cabochons for jewellery makers to practice stone setting.

Currently our stock includes the following mixes:

Synthetic and natural mix

A good mix of largely semi precious stones with a few pieces of glass and a few synthetic stones. A quick look through and I've seen some Tigers Eye, blue Goldstone glass, Moonstone, Agate, Jaspers etc. I try to keep the ratio of the mix at 50/50 or above.

• 4-12MM sizes - ten grams - random pick was 20-25 cabs.
• 12-25MM sizes - ten grams - random pick was 5-8 cabs.
• 25-40MM sizes - ten grams - random pick was 1-3 cabs.

Please bear in mind different stones have different weights; and the cuts are almost always different too, so it is really difficult to provide a closer estimate. Even within the same stone (Quartz) I measured a difference of a gram between two 18x13MM stones.

Synthetic mix

Purely synthetic stones, unless I dropped one in the wrong bag. These are primarily glass, often the 'cats eye' kind of fibre optic glass. Mostly oval, round, and square.
