Malachite is a mineral that is typically known for its vibrant green colour and distinctive banding patterns - although some crystals are not banded. Cuprite is, on the other hand, a darker red brown colour but can range to a reddy purple too.
Our current stock includes:
- #1 - 45.65x36.1x14MM - labelled as being from Zaire, so collected between 1971 and 1997. Zaire is now the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Unfortunately, no further locale has been recorded for this specimen. It does come with the original collectors (fairly scratched) box labelled "Malachite/Cuprite, Zaire".
