Larvikite is a feldspar mineral similar to Labradorite, but with a more muted colour. Larvikite is typically a grey to black mineral with streaks and flashes of white to grey to blue colours but none of the yellows, pinks, greens, etc of Labradorite.
It is a relatively cheap stone, and believe it or not, is actually used in British anti erosion defences along the sea shores. It is also used commercially for decorative stonework, such as facades on commercial buildings like banks, or countertops.
