Jet Palmstones
Small polished Jet palmstones, cut into a tactile shape intended to fit the hand or palm; intended to be held or rubbed. The polishing work on these is great; they are a fine mirror shine and are lovely and smooth.
These pieces are not all from Whitby; there are numerous sources of Jet from around the world.
Jet is a form of fossilised wood. Because of that, in some rare cases, the fossilised wood grain can be seen in the pieces.
