Fluorapatite from South Bedford Mine, Gulworthy, West Devon, Devon, UK

Low grade mixed up specimen from the South Bedford Mine, containing several types of minerals including fluorapatite.

South Bedford Mine contains South Gunnislake Mine and parts of South Bedford and East Gunnislake Mine. This specimen was originally labelled as East Gunnislake Mine.

This usually occurs when a larger mine is formed by the combination of one or more smaller mines - I tend to relabel the locale as the closest possible match on Mindat.

It comes with two older labels; one from the collector (1979) and one from a previous owner.
