Fluorapatite from Holmbush Mine, Callington United Mines, Stokeclimsland, Cornwall, UK

Nice little specimens of fluorapatite from the Holmbush mine, a part of the Callington United Mines.

These are thumbnail sized specimens, and magnification is really recommended for them. You'll need a 10x loupe at a minimum.

Some of these do have some absolutely fantastic splayed crystals - needle-like, and often iron stained an orange-brown colour. Some are less interesting but have well developed crystals instead.

I have included a number of closeups under my 20x USB camera - these are fairly plain and uninteresting looking without magnification.
