Carcharodontosaurus dinosaur tooth

These are fossilised teeth from the dinosaur known as Carcharodontosaurus saharicus.

These dinosaur tooth fossils were found in the Kem Kem deposits of Ksar-es-Souk province, Morocco, and have been identified as Carcharodontosaurus saharicus.

Carcharodontosaurus was an extremely large theropod dinosaur, as large or larger than a Tyrannosaurus or Spinosaurus.

They date to the Cenomanian of the late Cretaceous, making it around 93.9-100.5 million years old.

Our current stocks include:

  • #1 - 42x20.2x8.5MM approximately, or around 1.65 inches long for those who don't speak metric. No restoration but it isn't in the best condition. Plenty of cracks to the enamel, it's a bit of a fragile one and shouldn't be handled often.
  • #2 - 50.1x19.9x10.1MM - Would have been quite a large one if it wasn't broken at the root, although I do not think this is a recent break due to some unusual crystallisation occurring there.
No obvious signs of repairs; I have checked under UV light and can provide photos of that if requested. Tip intact, serrations to both sides; quite a nice example.
