Andradite Garnet from Kharan, Balochistan, Pakistan

Black Andradite garnet specimens from the area around Kharan, Pakistan.

These are sold in two grades; the A grade are nice specimens with crisp edges and a good dark colour - the B grade have some weathering and often a slightly paler colour, often a little grey.

These often occur in association with other minerals, most typically feldspar group minerals, other garnets, and mica.
