An introduction to the mineral kingdom: Richard H. Pearl

This book covers a wide range of mineralogical topics including mining, identifying, classifying, origins, the rocks that form minerals, and even manages to find space for sections on ultraviolet and radioactive minerals, meteorites, ores, and man-made minerals (however, this section will be very out of date).

This is an excellent book, and highly recommended - however, one issue is that it is quite old and some of the information may be outdated. Very good condition for its age.
