Nice little specimen of Amethyst from Gold Hill, Utah, USA.

It's not exactly gemmy, but we could definitely call this amethystine quartz. Quite a bit of iron staining too.

Unfortunately, the full locale here was not listed, and there are several mines in the area this could be from.  Still nice to see some amethyst from an uncommon locale.
