Amber Specimens / Rough (Baltic Butterscotch)
A ten gram parcel of Baltic Amber in the ever popular opaque yellow colour known as ‘butterscotch Amber’.
Raw Butterscotch Amber pieces from the Baltic
This lovely swirling mix of amber, yellow, and gold shades is known as 'butterscotch' Amber and is found around the Baltic sea - typically dredged up from the sea by fishermen off the coasts of Poland and Lithuania.
It has been gaining in popularity recently. These pieces are suitable for cutting into cabochons or carving, or just for display!
Butterscotch Amber doesn't have the same clarity as most baltic Amber, which is a transparent material with a honey colour - butterscotch Amber is opaque to translucent, with swirls of yellow, orange, and white.

The colours are marvelous and they look like candy. This is real amber as opposed to the plastic stuff out there.Whether you want these as decorative pieces, to drill a hole in to use as a simple pendant, or even to use in more esoteric ways, they are worth every penny.
