Rough Black Amber Specimen
These are interesting pieces of rough black Amber from Sumatra, Indonesia.
Typically, these are quite heavily included with organic matter, mud, soil, etc. This does contribute to the black colour. When held up to a bright light, you’ll likely see a lovely orange, red, or brown light shine through the piece.
Perfect for anyone looking for relatively cheap Amber pieces, sold in a few different sizes. You get quite a bit for your money!
As they’re pretty large pieces, they might actually be a decent way to practice lapidary with Amber – cutting and polishing, etc.
The pictures you see here are representative of the products and are usually not the exact item you will receive. Where various grades are available we do try to photograph each grade – but some photographs are still on their way!
