Parc Mine

Trefriw, Conwy, Wales, UK

A former lead and zinc mine worked between 1855 and 1958.

Parc Mine was originally opened in 1855 as Gwydyr Park Consols. It was closed in the 1940s, reopened in 1950, and closed finally in 1958.

28DaysLater has a writeup of an exploration of the site with great photographs from the inside of the mine.

Buddle Pit has a good writeup of the history of the site, too, with a few potential names for the site listed:

  • Parc Mine
  • Gwydyr Park Consols
  • De Eresby
  • D’Eresby Mountain
