Fauld Mine
Hanbury, East Staffordshire, Staffordshire, England, UK
A gypsum and anhydrite mine, the largest producer in the UK.
Showing the single result
The mine now produces ‘cement rock’, a mixture between gypsum and anhydrite.
There was a huge explosion at an underground munitions site here, creating one of the largest accidental explosions in history and leaving a giant crater.
I haven’t been able to find much information about the site as it currently exists, as most information for the site covers the explosion.
