Eskett Quarry

Lamplugh, Copeland, Cumbria, England, UK

Eskett Quarry is an aggregate quarry supplying crushed stone and decorative rock.

Eskett has been in operation since at least 1922, primarily exploited for dolomite and similar rocks, which are crushed for aggregate.

More recently, a company has started to produce slabs of decorative rock from the quarry.

It occasionally produces specimens of aragonite and calcite.
