New Cliffe Hill Quarry

Stanton under Bardon, Hinckley and Bosworth, Leicestershire, UK

New Cliffe Hill Quarry (part of the Cliffe Hill Quarry) is an aggregate quarry which once worked through a seam of mineralisation.

No products were found matching your selection.

The quarry currently produces 4.5 million tons of granite aggregate per year and has two operating asphalt plants on site.

Mindat lists nearly fifty minerals from the site, including Bobkingite, for which it is the type locality.

The copper lode which produced various mineral specimens was removed in the 1990s and no further mineralisation has been discovered – it is likely no further specimens will be coming from the site unless another lode or pocket is discovered.

The site has recently been extended, so I guess its possible!
