Strunzite and Laueite from 'Palermo Mine', Groton, Grafton County, New Hampshire, USA

Very nice little micro of Strunzite and Laueite from 'Palermo Mine', USA.

I've put 'Palermo Mine' in quotation marks as it is a vague term - there are several Palermo mines and dozens of numbered Palermo prospects. It is probably, but not necessarily, from Palermo Mine No. 1.

#1 - This specimen was part of Roger Harkers collection and has two of his labels glued to the perky box it comes mounted in. One had detached and has been stuck back on with a conservation grade tape. Another small label on the front is missing - this would have been a catalogue reference number originally.  The Strunzite here is an offwhite fibrous mineral, the Laueite that nice golden brown crystalline cluster.

The specimen is mounted with glue into the box. Ex. Roger Harker, Woodrow Thompson collections.
