Faceted black Spinel

These are lovely black faceted Spinel pieces, an amazingly dark black that almost seems to absorb light.

They give a timeless look when set in silver. I'm not usually a fan of black stones, preferring something with play of colour, or chatoyance.. But I can see the appeal here.
