Polished Sphalerite Slices

Small polished pieces of Sphalerite, in combination with other minerals including Galena and Marcasite. These banded specimens are sometimes referred to as Schalenblende.

They usually have quite a strong contrast between gun-metal grey Galena and the yellowy-brown Sphalerite - making these polished slices nice display objects for a small cabinet display.
