Shiva Eye Shell cabochons (Operculum)

An unusual little oddity - these are referred to as 'Shiva Eyes'. They are a piece of shell that has been cut and polished to give it a fine spiral.

They are usually set the opposite way around to most cabochons; with the rounded side to the rear, to show off the spiral pattern.

They typically measure 15-25MM wide, with most sitting around 20MM at their widest point.

The shell itself comes from a gastropod commonly called Operculum.

Our stock of these items is quite limited - they are sold singly and we may not be able to source any more in this price range.

I contacted you to ask if you could give me 2 shiva eye shells to match for earrings and you explained there was no problem. They arrived quickly and were an excellent match, thoroughly satisfied thank you.
