Rough Fire Agate for Lapidary

Rough Fire Agate piece for lapidarists - these are 'rubbed' to give you an idea of the colours and patterns of the Agate once it is polished but need a final polish.

I guess they could also be kept simply as a specimen piece, though.

These are generally photographed dry, rather than wet, although in a few images some had had a drop of water on.

It is a rather expensive material as many of the pieces of Agate have no 'fire' - but the only way to reveal it is to grind off the outer layers.
