- #1 - 47.8x20x13.1MM - from the town of Clinton, Oneida County, New York, USA. Comes boxed with our ID label. Clinton used red hematite for the manufacture of paints, and a book called 'Diagenesis of The Clinton Hematite Ores of New York' may be a good source if you are interested in this specimens history or possible locales around Clinton.
