Nice little Mookaite pendants, with colours ranging from whites to oranges, purples, browns and reds.

Mookaite is an interesting mineral from Australia, often missold as a Jasper - it is not, it is a silicified Radiolarite. Radiolaria were tiny creatures with an opaline silica skeleton, masses of which were deposited in ancient seas eventually cementing into a solid rock. Mookaite is likely primarily coloured by iron deposits and staining.

Mookaite is only found in one locale, near Mooka station, in Carnavonshire, Australia.
