Lapis Lazuli egg carvings

Egg carvings cut from a single piece of blue Lapis Lazuli.

I don't generally get these very often as the main sources of Lapis are Afghanistan and Russia and I am unwilling to purchase new material from these sources. I do sometimes get them when I purchase a collection second hand, though.

These specimens come with a small free metal ring to use as a display stand.

They are often partially fluorescent under 365nm light due to calcite within the material.
