Gemstone, Mineral, and Fossil Advent Calendars
As far as we know, these gemstone advent calendars were the first products of their kind in the world when they were originally created in 2017.
There are now numerous businesses offering crystal advent calendars, but I would happily put one of these up against them any day!
Our calendars are now sold in premade packaging, which is unfortunately not reusable. Designs on these do vary.
The reason behind this is time - unfortunately, it took so long to make these advent calendars in the past that I was making a net loss. The pre-made packaging helps to cut down on the time involved in packing them.
However, as I try my best to be environmentally conscious where possible, I am also offering refill packs for people who already have a reusable advent calendar. Refill packs are also ideal for our international customers, as the shape and fragility of the calendars makes shipping them abroad both expensive and risky!
We offer two variants:
- Our standard 25 day calendar, a cardboard box with 24 doors and then a separate gift bag with Christmas present. Packaging designs may vary.
- Our luxury 25 day calendar, a cardboard box with 24 doors and then a separate gift bag with Christmas present. Packaging designs may vary.
So what do you get?
Potentially pretty much anything we sell – although we do carefully pick pieces that aren’t toxic, sharp, or hazardous. You’re guaranteed to get a few tumblestones, fossils, some nice mineral specimens, a polished piece or two and possibly some jewellery – don’t worry, one size fits all.
Our luxury calendar contains nicer specimens, and typically more of them – and sometimes, rarer items such as meteorites.
When ordering this item, please check the date carefully - we recommend an express delivery service if there isn't long left until December!
There is a Christmas rush every year, and we don't want you to miss out.
Due to the nature of gemstones, mineral samples, tumblestones, etc - small children should be supervised if given this advent calendar and hands should be washed after handling mineral specimens. None of the stones included are toxic or poisonous unless ingested, but basic precautions never hurt.
Frequently asked questions and delivery information
How do we grade stones?
There is no overall universal grading system for the majority of our products. As such, the grades we use are internal only. They simply refer to higher and lower qualities, but they may be entirely different grades to other websites. C grade pieces are of lower quality than B grade, which is lower than A grade.
How does our ordering and delivery process work?
You place an order via the website. When it’s been picked and packed, your order will be marked as completed and dropped off at our local post office. We have an account with the post office called a “Drop and Go” account, which allows the post office staff to process our parcels when they have free time, rather than me queuing up and delaying everyone else.
I get tracking information etc online when this has been completed. I typically do not send tracking information to customers unless they request it – but if you’ve requested tracked postage, it has been sent tracked! If you have any worries or concerns about your parcel being delayed please feel free to get in touch and I’ll send the tracking info over! We also get delivery confirmations for parcels over 25MM thick by default.
How do international orders work?
After Brexit, with the UK leaving the European Union, certain things have changed with regards to international orders. European Union customers will now likely be liable to pay the same amount of import VAT as any other international customers. You will be responsible for any customs and import fees.

What payment methods do you accept?
I can accept Paypal, Stripe, cheque, and direct bank transfers. Paypal and Stripe will both allow you to pay with credit and debit cards.
