Polished Sapphire specimens
As a collector, you may love these lower grade pieces of polished Sapphire. Technically, as these are not a gem grade, they are considered to be Corundum - however, we know what you'll have searched to get here...
These are definitely not cutting grade, and range from a blue to a purple to a grey or brown.
You may notice these stones do tend to show off the hexagonal shapes common to Corundum (Ruby, Sapphire, etc).
In stock, we currently have:
- #1 - 42.5x15.5x14.5MM - a crystal with the sides polished and one end polished into a dome. This piece shows asterism, although not a full 'star'. It is a dark blue-purple with numerous inclusions and is completely opaque.
Numerous dark pinky-purple opaque specimens with the crystal formation ground away. They have a rounded dome on top and minor asterism in hexagonal form. They could possibly be set as a cabochon.
