Connellite from Oberhütte slag locality, Volkstedt, Eisleben, Mansfeld-Südharz, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany

Nice rich specimen of connellite on slag matrix from the Oberhütte slag locality, Germany.

Connellite is a relatively uncommon secondary mineral which is typically found in post-mining contexts; in this case the sprays of crystals are forming spherules or spheres.

Very nice under magnification - the blue is visible with the naked eye but 10x magnification at a minimum is recommended here.

This specimen comes boxed with our ID label and a handwritten former owners label dating its collection to 2006.
