Botryoidal Goethite Specimens from the UK
These botryoidal Goethite specimens come from various locales around the UK, including the classic locale of the Mendip Hills.
Most of them show a classic botryoidal formation. Sounds complex, but it is just the scientific name for the 'balls' which look like a bundle of grapes.
We currently sell specimens from two locales -
- Small specimens from the Mendip Hills, Somerset - approx 10-20MM wide.
- A larger specimen from the Restormel Mine, Cornwall - measuring 80x60x20mm and weighing in around 108 grams.
