Amethyst Point with Goethite Phantom

An extremely unusual piece, a 'phantom' Amethyst point with Goethite inclusions clearly following the phantom lines.

A phantom exists where Quartz has grown over older Quartz - in this case Amethyst with Goethite has grown over Amethyst.

Goethite is an iron ore which can form into 'golden' brown crystals and needles - this contrasts really nicely with the purple Amethyst.

These are really quite rare pieces - currently I have two available.

• #1 - 22x19x12MM - a pale piece with good quality inclusions.
• #2 - 34.5x27.5x17MM - a nice piece, slightly darker than the other!
