One of the many workings on Grassington Moor, Moss Mine was also known by a few other names – Moss Shaft, Old Moss Shaft, Pit Moss Mine, or Pit Moss Vein.
It shouldn’t be confused with New Moss Shaft, a short distance away.
I couldn’t find too much information on this site, and actually added it to Mindat myself..
There does seem to be some information on the site in British Mining No 46 – the Grassington Mines – but I don’t currently have a copy.
