Toron Mines

Roca del Toron, Espinavell (Espinabell), Molló, Girona, Catalonia, Spain

An old mine in the Espinavella area, possibly exploiting arsenical pyrite.

I was not able to find much information on this locale online – Spanish/Catalan speakers might have better luck.

I did find few spanish language threads on the subject though, which does discuss some of the confusion between the names of the mines and the locations, as well as listing various minerals from the site.

Mindat also lists 32 mineral species from the site. There is also a French mine on the other side of the mountain (and border) – Costabonne mines.
