Marine Reptile Fossils

Marine reptile fossils are the remains of reptiles that lived in the ocean – sometimes mistaken for dinosaurs.

Famous marine reptiles include ichthyosaurs, plesiosaurs, pliosaurs, and mosasaurs.

Bone fragments, teeth, and vertebrae are relatively common – however, more complete fossils are often found along Englands Jurassic coast.
