Tephroite and Willemite from Sterling Mine, Sterling Hill, Ogdensburg, Sussex County, New Jersey, USA

Very nice fluorescent specimens of tephroite and willemite from the famous Sterling Mine, New Jersey, USA.

These pieces have a neon green fluorescence under a wide range of wavelengths - I've tried 365nm, 310nm and 255nm - 255nm is perhaps slightly brighter but 365nm lights are far more common.

There is sometimes fluorescent red or pink calcite on the matrix too.
