Interesting little Silicon Carbide specimens, available in a range of sizes from small to large.

While it does occur in nature, these pieces are man-made. It is also known as Carborundum and is widely used in industry, where it is used to make abrasives and high temperature ceramics.

Silicon carbide is a very hard, abrasive, jagged material and can easily cause skin damage.
