Drakelands Mine is one of the UK's only tungsten mines, near to Plymouth, Devon.
It produces fine Scorodite, Wolframite, Ferberite, and Cassiterite specimens.
This mine has several given names, which are probably historical - including Hemerdon Tungsten Mine, Hemerdon Stock Works, Hemerdon Ball, Hemerdon Bal.
Our current stock includes:
- #1 - 35.4x33.4x26.2MM - this specimen isn't massively distinct and should be seen as lower end.
- #2 - 75.9x53.5x14MM - an iron stained matrix with a few fine areas of quality blue Scorodite crystals. Best viewed with magnification. Comes with a label from the collector and an old owner or retailers label.
