Rough Mahogany Obsidian
We sell these lovely rough pieces of Mahogany Obsidian in 100 gram packets, which may be a single piece or two or three pieces - it all depends on our current stock. In some instances, 100 grams may contain 1-3 pieces; however, an order of 500 grams may contain 1-2 much larger pieces. If you require a specific size, please get in touch before ordering to ensure we can supply sized pieces.
We do also have some offcut pieces which may have one or two saw cut sides - great for tumbling or cutting, but good for display too.
These are loved by mineral collectors or crystal healing practitioners, but larger amounts tend to appeal to colleges and universities, for the geology department. They are also used by lapidarists and rock tumblers, to create gorgeous polished stones.
Obsidian is a volcanic glass, and because of that, if it is broken, it can be extremely sharp. Our bags are rough pieces in a thick plastic bag and I'd expect some broken and jagged pieces. Be careful when handling!
