Pyritised Bivalve Fossil Shells
These are interesting little fossils - smooth Bivalve fossil shells, with a striking resemblance to modern day shells.
Our current stock includes:
- 10-20MM pyritised Bivalves and Bivalve fragments from the Gault Clay, Folkestone. Primarily Actinoceramus, but there may be other species.
- 20-30MM pyritised Bivalves and Bivalve fragments from the Gault Clay, Folkestone. Primarily Actinoceramus, but there may be other species.
These make a great gift for kids, and fossil collectors - they're also relatively inexpensive. Because everyone can relate to a shell, they are quite a nice visual display aid for children to learn with.
The pictures you see here are representative of the products and are usually not the exact item you will receive. Where various grades are available we do try to photograph each grade - but some photographs are still on their way!
