Polymorphopteris polymorpha plant fossils

Polymorphopteris is a tree fern from the Carboniferous period.

Our current stock:

• #1 - 58.5x33x13MM - a piece with two different species on; Polymorphopteris and possibly Neuropteris. This piece comes from the Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire.

Ferns and plants are amongst my favourite kinds of fossils; they are not as 'alien' to us as trilobites or graptolites. Somehow that familiarity gives me a stronger feeling of connection to these ancient plants, set forever in stone.
