Nice specimen of crystalline leadhillite on matrix from the Red Gill Mine, Cumbria.

 

  • #1 - The specimen is mounted with glue into the box. Ex. Roger Harker collection. There would have originally been a larger label on the back with more info and the Harker collection name, but this has been lost - as a result there are no labels bearing the Harker name; provenance is known by dozens of specimens from the same lot and the same labelling style. One of the labels on the front is held on with a conservation grade tape.
