Micro crystals of Hemimorphite cover one side of this mixed up Quartz matrix, giving it almost a fuzzy appearance until viewed under magnification - after which the Hemimorphite clusters become much more obvious.
Sadly, this isn't one of those gorgeous bright blue botryoidal specimens from the Roughton Gill mine; just off-white crystals on matrix - but still, a decent specimen from a well known locale. Magnification highly recommended.
