Nice specimens of Halite from the Boulby Mine, North Yorkshire.

These are, of course, crystals of rock salt. While I did lick one and it was delicious, I wouldn't recommend it. They aren't pure halite, they aren't purified or cleaned, they're from a mine - it isn't a good idea.

These come bagged with our ID label - they should be stored carefully, too - if they are stored in an area of high humidity they may slowly dissolve over time.
